SKINLAB: ADVANCED MEDICAL AESTHETICS & BEAUTY
We love seeing new faces come through the door, especially people who are curious about aesthetic treatments but may not know where to stay. So for us, it’s about building trust, showcasing real results, and continuing to talk openly (and compliantly) about what’s possible with good skincare, skin boosters, and advanced facial treatments. The rest often follows.
What inspired you to open SKINLAB in Deal, Kent?
SKINLAB was born out of the organic growth of two small businesses. It started with a single treatment room shared between co-owners Vicky Brailsford, SKINLAB’s laser technician, and Sarah Diamond, injectables nurse. Over 18 months, our client base grew steadily and we realised how aligned we were in both business and vision. We’d outgrown our space, so when we found a perfect property on The Strand and took a leap, confident that Deal was ready for a highend clinic offering both advanced medical aesthetics and beauty under one roof.
What key services and treatments do you offer?
SKINLAB offers a wide range of treatments across three specialist spaces. Our Facial Lab, led by our expert therapists Jenna and Evie, focuses on results-driven skin treatments using cutting-edge platforms like Geneo and HydraFacial. The Laser Lab, managed by co-owner Vicky Brailsford, offers a wide spectrum of laser treatments including laser hair removal, pigmentation correction, vascular treatments and blemish removal. Finally, our Injectables Lab is led by co-owner and nurse prescriber Sarah Diamond, who specialises in aesthetic medicine such as injectables like anti-wrinkle treatments, skin boosters and radiofrequency microneedling. Her passion lies with natural skin regeneration and her work reflects a deep commitment to natural, long-term results. Together, each lab brings expert-led care together under one roof, creating a truly integrated approach.
Do you have a signature treatment at SKINLAB?
Rather than one signature treatment, we focus on delivering signature results. Every client begins with a thorough consultation, allowing us to create a bespoke plan tailored to their goals. Whether it’s facials, laser, injectables or a combination, the focus is always on enhancing natural beauty in a subtle, refined way. We follow a less-is-more philosophy and prioritise safety, integrity and long-term results; that’s what defines the SKINLAB experience.
What is your most popular treatment, and why do you think it’s so popular?
Botox is currently our most in-demand treatment, followed by laser hair removal and the Geneo facial. Botox remains popular because it delivers predictable results with minimal downtime. With over 30 years of clinical backing, it offers clients a subtle refresh that restores confidence. It’s trusted, effective and consistent, which are the key reasons it remains a top choice.
How does SKINLAB personalise treatments for individual clients?
Personalisation starts the moment a client walks through our doors, beginning with Kate, our warm and knowledgeable clinic coordinator, who ensures every client feels supported from day one. Before treatment, clients receive a detailed consultation to understand their concerns, skin needs and medical background. This allows us to build a bespoke plan suited to their goals and lifestyle. We always remind clients that this is a marathon, not a sprint. Our ethical approach focuses on natural, long-term outcomes. With over 330 five-star Google reviews, the impact of that care is clear.
What beauty and wellness trends do you predict will grow in popularity throughout 2025 and beyond?
There’s a clear shift towards skin health and regeneration over volume enhancement. While fillers still have a place, clients are increasingly drawn to natural results and long-term skin quality. Regenerative aesthetics are rising - treatments like radiofrequency microneedling, skin boosters and polynucleotides are in demand for their ability to support the skin’s natural repair. Preventative care and holistic wellness are also gaining traction. Clients are investing earlier, combining clinical treatments with medical-grade skincare, nutrition and stress management. It’s no longer just about how skin looks, it’s about how it functions and how you feel in it. And that’s a healthy and exciting shift.
What does the future hold for SKINLAB?
Our core commitment will always be to provide a safe, effective, five-star experience for every client. Ongoing training and professional development remain nonnegotiable within our team. Looking ahead, we’re expanding beyond our clinic. We’re launching a new business model as a blueprint for salons and aesthetic clinics, based on what we wish we’d had starting out. Launching under @salonsuccessworldwide on Instagram, this platform will offer strategies, tools and support for others in the industry. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built and look forward to helping others do the same.
