what are skin tags?
Skin tags are small growths that hang off your skin. They can vary in colour and size – from a few millimetres up to 5cm wide and are usually found on the neck, armpits, around the groin, or under the breasts. They're common and harmless, but can be removed if they're bothering you.

Prior to booking an appointment, we would advise you to consult your GP for advice and to ensure that there are no contraindications.
To begin, your practitioner will mark the lesion(s) to be removed and local anaesthesia will be given at each site around the skin tag. Then our laser will be used to cauterise each marked lesion. The whole procedure will be quick and comfortable.
As there is no downtime, you may leave the clinic as soon as you are ready. The treated area will look ‘scabby’ and be much darker than the surrounding skin. This first scab will fall off within the first 5-7 days after treatment, after which a second scab will form and fall off within the next 14 days. After the initial healing period, the appearance of any treated area will improve and a very light mark, if any, may be left behind. For skin tag removal treatment there will be no stitches and the chance of any scarring is negligible.
