NeoGen plasma treatment involves minimal downtime, but your skin will go through a natural renewal process over the first week.
Day 1–2: Skin may feel warm and tight, similar to mild sunburn. Redness and light swelling are normal.
Day 3–4: Skin can appear bronzed or tanned, and micro-crusting or flaking may begin as old cells shed.
Day 5–7: Most redness subsides, and new, brighter skin becomes visible.
Healing times vary depending on the energy level used — higher energy means slightly more downtime. During recovery, keep skin clean, hydrated, and protected with SPF, and avoid makeup, saunas, and intense exercise for 48 hours. Avoid excessive or deliberate sun exposure. Use appropriate sun protection for the intended treatment area – including broad spectrum SPF 30+ hat, glasses etc.

Drink 2 litres of water per day

Introduce Humantra electrolytes – one sachet per day – continue to drink 2 litres of water per day.
PLEASE NOTE
Hydration is key with NeoGen Plasma. The pretreatment care is equally as important as the treatment and aftercare. Being hydrated allows the plasma energy to penetrate the skin deeper, making it a more safe and effective treatment. Being hydrated also aids recovery and final treatment outcomes.

Stop using active skincare ingredients, such as retinol, lactic acid, salicylic acid, glycolic acid and vitamin c. Only use hydrating products such as hyaluronic acid serums and moisturisers, including SPF.
Avoid drinks that dehydrate you such as energy drinks, coffee and alcohol.

Men – Shave if that area of the face is being treated.

Where possible arrive at clinic with no make-up or perfume.
Remove contact lenses if the eye area is being treated – this can be done in clinic where necessary.
Take your electrolyte sachet early in the morning and remain hydrated.
Aftercare

Change your pillowcase to ensure it is clean.

If peeling or flaking starts before day 5, begin using Alumier Rescue Balm (in your Alumier Post Procedure Pack).
If no peeling occurs before day 5, introduce Rescue Balm from day 5 onwards.

If your skin has visibly healed you can recommence your normal skin care regimen, including active ingredients such as acids, retinol and vitamin c.
