Under-eye skin boosters
What are under-eye skin boosters?
The skin around the eyes is some of the thinnest and most delicate on the face. It loses moisture faster, shows fatigue sooner, and tends to reflect the effects of ageing, sun damage, and lifestyle before anywhere else. Fine lines, dark circles and a loss of elasticity in this area are among the most common skin concerns we see at SKINLAB, and they're also some of the most treatable.
Under-eye skin boosters and regenerative eye treatments are injectable treatments designed specifically for this area. Rather than masking the signs of tiredness or ageing with coverage, they work beneath the surface to improve the quality, hydration, and resilience of the skin itself. Results develop gradually and look entirely natural.
We offer three clinically proven injectable treatments for the under-eye area: Polynucleotides Eye, Redensity 1, and BeautifEYE. Each works differently and suits different concerns. The right choice for you is always determined during your consultation with Sarah, our Registered Nurse Prescriber, who will assess your skin, discuss your goals, and recommend the approach most likely to give you the results you're looking for.
-
The under-eye area is challenging to treat well, which is why choosing a medically qualified, experienced injector matters so much here. The skin is thin, the anatomy is complex, and precision is everything. Too much product, the wrong product, or poor technique can create problems rather than solve them, from puffiness to an unnatural appearance.
Sarah Diamond has been treating the under-eye area with injectable skin boosters and regenerative treatments since 2016. Her advanced training includes specialist Plenhyage face and body techniques (polynucleotides), completed in April 2022, and her background in acute nursing means she approaches every treatment with clinical rigour and an instinct for safety.
At SKINLAB, we're also firm believers in practising what we preach. Vicky has had polynucleotide eye treatment herself, and we're proud to share honest images of real results from our own team (see below).
Every under-eye treatment at SKINLAB begins with a consultation, which is redeemable against your treatment cost. There's no pressure, no one-size-fits-all approach, and no treatment carried out without a clear, considered plan.
Perfect skin is above all, healthy skin.
Under-eye treatments
We offer three injectable treatments for the under-eye area. Each has a distinct mechanism and suits different concerns. During your consultation, Sarah will assess your skin and recommend the most appropriate option, or in some cases, a combination approach.
This isn't a one-size-fits-all menu.
Each of the three treatments works differently at a biological level and the right choice depends on what your skin actually needs, not simply what's most popular or most straightforward to administer. Having three distinct options means Sarah can match the treatment to the concern, rather than fitting your concern around a single treatment.
For some clients that means a clear first recommendation; for others, it means building a sequenced plan that layers treatments over time as the skin responds and evolves. Either way, the outcome is more precise, more personalised, and more likely to deliver results that genuinely reflect your skin's needs.
Spotlight on Polynucleotides Eye
Polynucleotides Eye is a regenerative injectable treatment that works at a cellular level to improve the health, quality, and resilience of the skin around and beneath the eyes. It's one of the most advanced options available for this area and is particularly well suited to clients dealing with dark circles, thin or crepey skin, and overall skin fatigue in the eye area.
-
Polynucleotides are highly purified DNA fragments, typically derived from salmon or trout, which closely mirror human DNA. When injected into the skin, they stimulate fibroblast activity, encouraging the natural production of collagen and elastin. They also have a significant anti-inflammatory effect, which makes them especially effective for addressing the vascular and pigmentation components of dark circles. Rather than adding volume or filling lines, polynucleotides improve the skin itself, its structure, hydration, and cellular health, from within.
-
Polynucleotides Eye is well suited to clients concerned with: dark circles (particularly those with a vascular or skin-quality cause), thinning or crepey skin in the under-eye area, fine lines and early wrinkles, dehydrated or dull-looking skin around the eyes, and general loss of skin quality in this area.
-
Treatment is carried out as a series of small, precise injections into the under-eye area using a very fine needle. Most clients find it well tolerated; a numbing cream can be applied beforehand if preferred. Small raised bumps, similar in appearance to mosquito bites, may be visible immediately after treatment, along with mild redness or occasional bruising. These typically settle within 24 to 72 hours.
Results develop gradually. Early improvement in hydration is often noticeable within one to two weeks. Collagen stimulation becomes visible from around three to four weeks, with full results continuing to improve over six to twelve weeks. A course of two to four sessions, spaced two to four weeks apart, is typically recommended for optimal results. Maintenance treatments every four to six months can help sustain improvements over time.
-
Polynucleotides Eye is suitable for adults with concerns about under-eye skin quality, dark circles, thinning skin, or general skin fatigue in this area. It's also a good choice for clients who have sensitive or reactive skin, as the anti-inflammatory properties make it gentle as well as effective. A full consultation is required to confirm suitability.
Spotlight on Redensity1
Redensity1 is a specialist injectable skin booster developed by Teoxane, formulated specifically for the delicate under-eye area. It combines hyaluronic acid with a complex of amino acids, antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins, which are all ingredients that support the skin's own renewal processes while delivering deep hydration and brightness.
-
Unlike standard hyaluronic acid skin boosters, Redensity1 is a low-concentration, multi-component formula designed to be injected into the very superficial layers of the skin around the eyes. The hyaluronic acid component hydrates and plumps, while the amino acids and antioxidants support collagen synthesis, protect against free radical damage, and improve skin tone. The result is skin that looks brighter, more even, and better hydrated, without any visible change in volume or structure.
-
Redensity1 is particularly effective for clients dealing with: tired or dull-looking skin around the eyes, dark circles linked to poor skin quality or superficial pigmentation, fine lines and early crepiness, dehydrated or thinning under-eye skin, and a loss of luminosity in this area.
-
Treatment involves a series of small, superficial injections across the under-eye area. Most clients tolerate it well, and topical numbing can be used to improve comfort. Some redness, mild swelling, or small bumps may appear immediately after treatment, but these typically resolve within 24 to 48 hours. Initial results, particularly improved hydration and brightness, are often visible within a few days. Continued improvement in skin quality typically develops over two to four weeks, with results lasting approximately six to nine months depending on the individual.
A course of two sessions is generally recommended, followed by maintenance as needed.
-
Redensity1 is well suited to clients who want to improve the quality and luminosity of the skin around the eyes without volume or structural change. It's a good choice for those in their late 20s through to their 50s and beyond who are dealing with early signs of under-eye fatigue, dehydration, or mild dark circles. A full consultation is required to confirm suitability.
Spotlight on BeautifEYE
BeautifEYE is an injectable skin booster by Jalupro, developed specifically for the periorbital area, the skin around and beneath the eyes. It combines a high-quality hyaluronic acid base with a biorevitalising complex, making it effective for addressing both surface skin quality and the subtle, early structural changes that make the eye area look aged or tired.
-
BeautifEYE is injected into the skin of the under-eye and surrounding area, where it delivers a combination of deep hydration and biorevitalising support. The hyaluronic acid component helps restore moisture and plumpness, while the additional complex stimulates skin renewal and collagen production. The result is smoother, more elastic, better-hydrated skin around the eyes, with a visible reduction in fine lines and an overall improvement in skin quality.
-
BeautifEYE is particularly effective for: fine lines and surface wrinkles in the under-eye and around the eyes, loss of skin elasticity and firmness in this area, mild skin laxity, dehydrated or crepey skin, and a generally tired or aged appearance around the eyes.
-
Treatment involves a series of small injections across the under-eye and periorbital area. Topical numbing can be applied beforehand to maximise comfort. Mild redness, swelling, or bruising may occur after treatment and typically resolves within 24 to 72 hours. Visible improvements in hydration and skin quality tend to develop over two to four weeks following treatment, with results that can last six to nine months. A course of two sessions is typically recommended, with maintenance as needed.
-
BeautifEYE is well suited to clients who want to address fine lines, skin laxity, and overall skin quality in the under-eye and eye area. It works particularly well for clients who are beginning to notice early structural changes in the skin alongside hydration and surface concerns.

Frequently asked questions about Under-eye skin boosters
-
Under-eye treatments, including Polynucleotides Eye, Redensity 1, and BeautifEYE, are suitable for a wide range of skin types. Because these treatments are specifically formulated for the delicate periorbital area and use biocompatible ingredients, they're generally well tolerated. However, suitability is always assessed individually during your consultation. Certain medical conditions, medications, or skin concerns may mean a treatment isn't appropriate at a particular time, and Sarah will advise you clearly on this.
-
All three target the under-eye area but work in different ways and suit different concerns. Polynucleotides Eye is a regenerative biostimulator that works at a cellular level to promote repair, collagen production, and skin health, particularly effective for dark circles, thin skin, and more significant skin fatigue. Redensity1 is a multi-component skin booster that combines hyaluronic acid with amino acids and antioxidants to brighten, hydrate, and strengthen the skin. BeautifEYE is a hydrating biorevitalising booster that targets fine lines, laxity, and surface skin quality around the whole eye area. During your consultation, Sarah will recommend the most appropriate option for your specific concerns, or in some cases, a combination approach over time.
-
This is decided during your consultation. Sarah will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and goals, and recommend the treatment (or sequence of treatments) that's most likely to give you the best results. There's no fixed protocol and every recommendation is personalised.
-
This varies by treatment. Redensity1 and BeautifEYE often produce visible improvements in hydration and brightness within a few days of treatment, with continued improvement over two to four weeks. Polynucleotides Eye works more gradually, early hydration improvements are typically noticeable within one to two weeks, with collagen stimulation becoming visible from around three to four weeks, and full results continuing to develop over six to twelve weeks. All three treatments improve with a course rather than a single session.
-
Results vary between individuals and by treatment. As a general guide, Redensity1 and BeautifEYE results typically last six to nine months. Polynucleotides Eye results develop more gradually but can be long-lasting when maintained with a course and follow-up treatments. Your practitioner will advise on the recommended maintenance schedule at your consultation.
-
Most under-eye treatments are recommended as a course of two sessions, spaced two to four weeks apart, with maintenance treatments every four to six months thereafter. Polynucleotides Eye may require a course of two to four sessions depending on the level of concern and the results achieved. Sarah will discuss the recommended course for your chosen treatment at consultation.
-
The under-eye area is sensitive, and mild discomfort during injection is normal. A topical numbing cream can be applied before treatment to help manage this, and most clients find the treatment entirely tolerable. Sarah uses precision technique to minimise discomfort throughout.
-
Downtime is minimal for all three treatments. Some redness, mild swelling, small bumps, or bruising is normal immediately after treatment and typically resolves within 24 to 72 hours. Most clients can return to normal activity the same day or the following day. Make-up can usually be applied within 24 hours. You'll be given full aftercare instructions following your treatment.
-
Yes, though there are some short-term post-treatment restrictions. In the days immediately following treatment, it's important to use gentle, non-active skincare and to avoid products containing retinol, AHAs, or other strong actives until the skin has settled. Once healed, your normal skincare routine, including medical-grade products recommended by SKINLAB, can be resumed. Good skincare and daily SPF help to maintain and extend the results of injectable treatments.
-
Yes. Under-eye treatments often work well alongside other skin quality treatments. For example, Polynucleotides Eye may be combined with Profhilo or microneedling as part of a broader skin health plan. Sarah will advise on what can be combined in the same appointment and what needs to be sequenced at separate visits, based on your individual plan.
-
Yes. A face-to-face consultation with Sarah is required before any injectable treatment at SKINLAB. This allows her to assess your skin and concerns, review your medical history, confirm suitability, and create a personalised treatment plan. The consultation fee is redeemable against your treatment cost.
-
All injectable treatments at SKINLAB are available to adults aged 18 and over. There is no upper age limit, in fact, clients in their 50s, 60s, and beyond often benefit significantly from regenerative and skin quality treatments in the under-eye area. Suitability is always assessed individually.
Preparation
-
There is a minimal preparation required for this treatment.
Make sure to inform your medical aesthetic professional about any medications or health conditions that you have, as this can help to ensure a safe and effective treatment.
Aftercare
-
The downtime following under-eye skin booster treatment is minimal, and you should be able to return to normal ‘light’ daily activities immediately after your procedure.
However, we recommend the following:
no makeup for 24 hours after the treatment
avoid physically strenuous activities and sports on the first day after the treatment
minimise going to the sauna or having steamy baths for the first few days
avoid intense sun or UV light exposure for the first few days after treatment

We encourage a complimentary follow-up appointment 8 weeks post-treatment to discuss your tailored treatment results.
It is also important to maintain a healthy skincare routine and follow any additional aftercare instructions provided by your medical aesthetic professional to optimise the results of your treatment.
