Under-eye skin boosters

What are under-eye skin boosters?

Under-eye skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to improve the appearance of the delicate skin around the eyes. They address common concerns in this area, such as fine lines, wrinkles, loss of elasticity, and dark circles.

At SKINLAB, we use a couple of different brands depending on which is most suitable for you, including BeautifEYE and Redensity 1. Each is packed with hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and amino acids formulated specifically for the under-eye area. The right choice for you is determined during your consultation, based on your skin and your individual concerns.

  • BeautifEYE is a multi award-winning under-eye skin booster designed by Laboratoires FILLMED, a trusted name in medical aesthetics. Redensity 1 is another well-established option, formulated with hyaluronic acid alongside a blend of antioxidants, vitamins, and amino acids to support skin quality in this delicate area.

By incorporating an under-eye skin booster into your wider skincare approach, you can enjoy a more youthful, radiant appearance around the eyes.

Perfect skin is above all, healthy skin.

Polynucleotide eye treatment

Under-eye skin boosters aren't the only option for this area. We also offer polynucleotide eye treatment.

At SKINLAB, we stay at the forefront of advancements in aesthetic treatments, and our resident injectables expert, Sarah, makes sure we're able to offer the latest in effective treatments. As an expert nurse injector, Sarah trained in advanced Plenhyage face and body techniques (polynucleotides) in April 2022, and we've been offering polynucleotide treatment to our patients since then.

We're also great believers in practising what we preach at SKINLAB, and we like to share the process and results of 'tweakments' we've had ourselves, including this image of Vicky immediately after a session of polynucleotides around the eye area.

  • The under-eye area is often one of the first places we notice the ageing process, whether that's dark circles, loss of elasticity in the skin, or fine lines (crow's feet) and wrinkles. People often head straight to tear trough filler for these concerns. However, there are very few people who are good candidates for this risky, and often problematic, treatment option. A good practitioner should always discuss this with you prior to treatment.

This is where treatments like polynucleotides are ground breaking.

If you'd like to find out more about what to expect from a polynucleotide treatment at SKINLAB, please read the FAQs below, have a look at some before and afters, and book a consultation with Sarah to see if this is the right treatment for your skin concerns.

Preparation

  • There is a minimal preparation required for this treatment.

Make sure to inform your medical aesthetic professional about any medications or health conditions that you have, as this can help to ensure a safe and effective treatment.

Aftercare

  • The downtime following the BeautifEYE treatment is minimal, and you should be able to return to normal ‘light’ daily activities immediately after your procedure.

    However, we recommend the following:

    • no makeup for 24 hours after the treatment

    • avoid physically strenuous activities and sports on the first day after the treatment

    • minimise going to the sauna or having steamy baths for the first few days

    • avoid intense sun or UV light exposure for the first few days after treatment

  • We encourage a complimentary follow-up appointment 8 weeks post-treatment to discuss your tailored treatment results.

It is also important to maintain a healthy skincare routine and follow any additional aftercare instructions provided by your medical aesthetic professional to optimise the results of your treatment.
