A Day in the Life at [SKINLAB]

Ever wondered what really happens behind the scenes at SKINLAB? It’s more than just skin treatments, it’s a full-on, fast-paced, people-powered machine that takes a huge amount of love, energy, and organisation to keep running smoothly.

On a typical day, we welcome around 40 customers across our three treatment rooms and beauty space.

But treatments are just one part of our day.

Behind the scenes, Kate is our ultimate clinic co-ordinator and the unsung hero. While we’re tucked away in treatment rooms, she’s juggling calls, bookings, emails, social media DMs, managing stock, pharmacy orders, prescriptions, and keeping track of everything going on, all while warmly welcoming every single customer through the door. She’s the calm in our beautiful chaos.

And then there’s everything else:

  • Detailed clinical notes after every customer

  • Before & after photos uploaded to our secure system (because we take your privacy seriously)

  • Heartfelt conversations. We don’t just treat skin, we build relationships, and we genuinely try to remember your life stories so we can pick up where we left off

  • Team training. We’re constantly learning, growing, and keeping up with the latest techniques and technologies

  • Content creation. Filming reels, snapping photos, planning posts… because staying visible online is a job in itself!

  • Dealing with the random machine malfunctions, blocked toilets, last-minute supply runs, and the occasional "WTF" moment 😜

  • Cleaning and resetting rooms after every treatment so the clinic stays spotless and welcoming

  • End-of-day admin (because yes, the paperwork never sleeps!)

  • Handling aftercare queries and customer concerns with care and professionalism

  • And finally, being a listening ear, because some days, our customers just need a moment to talk, cry, laugh, or share. And we’re here for that too 💓

Running a business like SKINLAB is no small feat, it’s hard work, long days, and constant multitasking. But it’s also incredibly rewarding. We do it because we love it, and we wouldn’t change a thing.

Thank you for being part of our journey, you make it all worthwhile.
